Ainda não é a página final. Achei que poderiam gostar de ir acompanhando o processo de criação das "Chubby Adventures". Hoje trago-vos o work in progress nº2.
Not, yet, the final page. I thought you might want to see the process of creation of "Chubby Adventures". Today I bring you work in progress nº2.
A cor é algo que é muito delicado, a mínima mudança faz toda a diferença.
There is a big difference between line work and coloured drawing. At the moment I want to have this comic in both options. One in black and white and a coloured versions.
Colours are something delicate, a little change makes all the difference.
That's why I started to create a few colour studies. I started with Copic markers because they are fast and easy to use. I wasn't completely happy with the colour selection I had. I was not convinced if it was the best medium for big areas.
Agora falta escolher o papel ideal que aguente aguarela e marcadores e fazer a página final!
I decided to try Ecolines for the big areas. Ecolines are liquid watercolour, ready to use. It's one of my favourites mediums to paint with. The drawings are small so this medium wouldn't be appropriate for small details, but for big surfaces it's perfect!
All I need to do now is to choice the right paper that works with both mediums.
I have many ideas for these adventures. Many of them related with Chubby's family. Others related to Chubby's hobbies. I don't want to get lost in many introduction pages, but before the real adventures start I will need to present Chubby a little bit more.
