One photo a day | 2018

as minhas favoritas de 2017 | my favorites from 2017

- aos meus desenhos/ilustrações;
- ao meu material de arte;
- a livros (que li, comprei ou quero ler);
- a mim própria (que é algo novo, pois nos últimos seis anos raramente me senti confortável em frente à câmara. Para mim, esta mudança, significa que estou a fazer mudanças na maneira como olho para mim própria. O que a meu ver é muito positivo);

I have been noticing that in the past years I gradually photograph less and less. So during December, I decided to make a test, if I was able to do one photo a day. The idea was test and see if it was possible to do a 365 photography challenge project.
I discovered that I'm not able to photograph every single day, nor I have a theme every day to photograph and sometimes, in other days, I have so many things to register and photograph...

The project is called one photo a day, my goal is to reach the end of the year with 365 photographs. It's not important if one day I share/photograph two or three photos, and the next days I don't photograph anything. I don't want to stress over this, that's halfway to fail on this. I want to end this year and be able to see I what I've been up to, what I've read and felt throughout the year.

As a preparation, I went down the memory lane of my photos on Instagram during 2017 and I found out that I take photos of very specific things:
- my drawings/illustrations;
- my art tools;
- books (that I read, bought or want to read);
- myself (which is something new. In the past six years, I seldom felt comfortable in front of a camera. To me, this change, means I'm changing the perception that I have of myself. Which I feel it's a very positive thing);
- and places where I am/go (routine places, my studio and workspace, etc).

If you like this sort of photos you can follow me on Instagram or you can visit this blog regularly (I'm hoping share every month the photos that I took - just like I did in past December).
