Pregnancy Diary - Custom Order

Não, nenhuma de nós está grávida, nem planeia estar nos próximos tempos. Mas isso não quer dizer que não podemos criar algo único para quem está para ser mãe!

Tudo começou com um pedido personalizado. De uma irmã para outra, um Diário de Gravidez sem data.

Todas as páginas foram planeadas e criadas por nós após várias horas de pesquisa.

No, none of us is pregnant and neither plans it for the next years. But that doesn't mean we can't create something cute for the expecting mothers!

This all started with a custom order. From one sister to another, one undated Pregnancy Diary.

All the pages were planned and create from scratch from us after many hours of re-search.

Ao contário do normal, comecei por criar a capa em vez do interior.
Tentei manter a capa o mais neutra possível, mas como todos já devem saber tenho um fraquinho pela combinação de vermelho com azul, por isso tinha de experimentar também.

Oddly enough I started creating the cover before the inside.
I try to keep it most gender neutral as possible. But you all know I'm sucker for blue and red colour combo so I had to try that too.

Na capa escrevi "Diário da minha Gravidez", mas pode ser sempre alterado para outra coisa.

In the cover I wrote My Pregancy Diary, but it can always be changed for anything you prefer, hum I'm quite fond of my 9th month adventure.

Adicionámos um elástico para que seja possível manter papeis ou ecografias dentro do caderno.

A agenda começa com algumas perguntas simples para serem preenchidas pela futura mamã. Depois é dividido em três secções, uma para cada trimestre. Existe uma dupla página para cada semana, na página da esquerda está o layout da semana inteira e na página da direita está em branco para ser preenchida com notas. Em cada trimestre existe uma dupla página para desejos e outra para as ecografias. No final da agenda acrescentei algumas páginas em branco, juntamente com uma secção para os nomes do bebé.

We added an elastic so it's possible you glue, stick or keep important papers or ultrasound.

The planner starts we a few questions to be filled by the mother, things like when did you found out that you're pregnant to the first purchase I've made for my baby. Then it's divided in three sections, each one for each trimester. You have a double page for each week, on the left page there is the week section and in the right you have a blank page for you to fill with all your emotions and notes during the pregnancy. On each trimester there is also a double spread for wishes and ultrasounds results. In the end of the planner we add a few extra pages for baby names and other blank pages for more notes.

Tamanho A6, de capa rígida.

A capa é impressa a cores sobre papel reciclado de 250gr, e o interior é impresso a preto e branco sobre papel de 80gr.

Todos os desenhos e ilustrações foram desenhados à mão pela a outra mafalda para a Nuts for Paper.

This version is portuguese, however it can be translated to English, Italian, Spanish or French

Size - A6 (small and perfect size to carry around) It's a Hardcover.

Type of paper - The cover is printed in recycled paper 250gr and the inside is black white printed over 80gr paper.

All the artwork is original and hand drawn by a outra mafalda for Nuts for Paper.

Last custom orders from 2014

Temos sido umas bloggers desnaturadas, sem actualizar nada, sem mostar nada, mas hoje isso muda tudo!

2015 ainda agora começou e já estamos submersas em novas encomendas (o que os deixa super satisfeitas) e a acabar algumas ainda feitas no ano passado.

Mas o que vos trago hoje são algumas das últimas encomendas personalizadas que fizemos até ao Natal!

Começámos com agendas!

We have been terrible bloggers in the past weeks, without any updates, without showing a thing, but today I'm changing that.

2015 as just begun and we are already we a lot of orders (and we couldn't be more thankful about it!) but also finishing a few ones made last year too.

But what I really wanted to show today was a few of the custom orders we've done until Christmas!

Let's start with the planners!

A agenda da direita é agenda da Sónia. Além duma capa com um padrão relacionado com viagens e fotografia bastante colorida, por dentro todos os meses levaram um nova ilustração com uma família de esquilos muito especial!

The agenda on the right is Sónia's 2015 planner. Besides a custom cover with a colourful pattern related with travelling and photography, inside every month as a different squirrel family illustration! (These illustrations we're created on purpose for this planner).

And this is one of the illustrations I've mention before, with Sónia, her "squirrel" boy and husband.

Como sabem a Catarina gosta muito de música, e têm alguns amigos que também gostam. Um deles pediu-nos uma agenda com a capa com discos de rock dos anos 80 e 90. Reconhecem algum que gostem?

As you all know from her blog chronicle, Catarina loves music and also haves friends with the same love for music. One of them asked us to create a planner with old rock records from 80's and 90's. Do you recognize any of them that you like?

Para um outro amigo da Catarina, que está a estudar Imagem e Som criámos esta agenda com elementos iguais a de um caderno que ele nos encomendou no Verão.

For other Catarina's friend, that is studying Image and Sound we created this planner with elements just like ones from a notebook he ordered back in the Summer.

Desde que criámos o padrão com mochos que temos tido alguns pedidos para voltar a tê-los. Esta agenda foi para a irmã da Catarina, mochos e a sua cor preferida (roxo) o que mais ela podia pedir?

Since we created the owl pattern that we have a lot requests with it. This one was made for Catarina's sister, owls and her favourite colour (purple) what more she could ask for?

Esta é uma das minhas preferidas que fizemos mais recentemente. O desenho de base é de uma ilustração que fiz num caderno A6 para a exposição sobre sonhos que fizemos no ano passado na Casa d'Amendoeira.
A cama é inspirada numa cama que existe em casa dos meus avós e a contracapa são cactus!

This one is one of my favourites that we've recently made. The base drawing is one of the illustration I've created for a A6 notebook that we had for the exhibition about dreams we done last year at Casa d'Amendoeira.
The bed is inspired in one that actually exists at my grandparents house and the back cover is filled with cactus!

E apesar de adorar a capa, a contracapa para mim é a melhor parte!! (foi inspirado neste padrão que me desafiei a criar um novo desafio para mim própria de criar 52 padrões diferentes ao longo do ano - podem ler mais sobre isso no meu blog).

I though I love the cover, the back cover for me it's the best part!! (I was inspired by this pattern, so I challenged myself to create 52 different patterns during this year - you can read more about it in my blog).

Durante a época do Natal aconteceu não conseguirmos tirar fotos a todas as encomendas novas que tivemos. Por isso algumas só temos registos das versões digitais. Esta agenda foi uma irmã que ofereceu a outra uma e que pediu que tivessem flores, borboletas, pássaros e mochos. O que acham?

During this hectic Christmas season we weren't able to photograph all the planners we created. So to some of them we only have the digital versions of them. This was a planner that one sister wanted to offer to another and asked us that it must have flowers, butterflies, birds and owls. What do you think about it?

Além dos mochos também nos foram pedidas algumas agendas com as esquilos. Esta foi inspirada numa ilustração que temos na nossa loja online com as nossas mascotes a Chubby e a Snuggly a divertirem-se com uma luta de almofadas.

Besides owls we also had a few requests with the squirrels. This one was directly inspired by one of our illustrations that we have in the shop with our mascots Chubby and Snuggly having fun in a pillow fight.

Esta ilustração também é inspirada numa que temos num caderno pintado à mão. Já nos foi pedida tantas vezes que desta vez criámos uma versão digital também. A minha parte preferida é mesmo a contracapa com os frascos de bolachas (nham nham).

This illustration is also inspired in a previous one hand painted notebook illustration. In the past was already requested, but this time we created a digital version, instead of hand painting it. My favourite part might be the back cover with the cookie jars! (nham nham.)

Ainda durante Dezembro fomos contactadas pela Sara para criar um Álbum de Bebé. Foi uma desafio muito grande mas tantos nós como a Sara ficámos contentes com o resultado final. Além da capa personalizada, no interior do álbum criámos vários espaços para que os pais do Tomás preenchem-se as primeiras memórias e passos do bebé e ao mesmo tempo possam acrescentar imensas fotografias do pequeno.

Infelizmente não ficámos com nenhuma fotografia decente do Álbum acabado, mas ficámos com o bichinho de criar mais álbuns!

Still in December we're contacted by Sara to create a Baby Album. It was a big challenge, but we and Sara we're really happy with the end result. Besides the custom cover, in the inside we created a space for Tomás parents write and keep record of all the first memories and steps of the baby, as well keep loads of photos of the little one.

Unfortunately we weren't able to have any decent photo the finished album, but we seriously considering do more.

A Catarina (da Nerdbeads - se não conhecem vão ver que é espectacular! ) contactou-nos porque queria um álbum personalizado para pôr e guardar as suas fotografias tiradas com a polaroid. Além disso queria também que a na capa houvesse uma ilustração dela com o namorado. E foi o que nós fizemos. Enviámos no dia 23 e a Catarina ainda a recebeu a tempo do Natal! (os Correios até que foram fofinhos!)

Ah é verdade já estamos a pensar em algumas surpresas para o Dia dos namorados, curiosos?

Brevemente partilhámos tudo.

Catarina (from Nerdbeads - check it out they made awesome geeky things) contacted us because she wanted a custom album to keep all of her polaroid photos. Besides that she also wanted a custom cover with an illustration of her and her boyfriend. We loved the challenge and that's what we did. It was the last order we shipped before Christmas on the 23rd and she got it in the morning of 24th, right in time for Christmas!! (the post offices we're very sweet!)
