Como prometido, esta semana mostro-vos o novo membro da minha família - a Mia!
Depois de muita (acreditem foi mesmo MUITA!) discussão sobre o nome que se haveria de dar à bichana, Mia acabou por ser o nome vencedor. Tinha de ser um nome simples, caso contrário a minha mãe não o conseguiria dizer, e como o único som que ela faz é precisamente um agudo "mia", acabou por ficar o nome ideal.

As promised, this week I'm showing you guys the new member of my family - Mia!
After a lot (seriously a LOT!) of argument about the name of the little one, Mia it is. It had to be a simple name otherwise my mom couldn't say the name, and as the only sound she makes is precisely "mia", it ended up the ideal name.

Desde que a Mia chegou, a nossa casa tem uma energia e alegria renovadas. Esta gatinha é tão hiperativa que contagia todos com a sua energia; até o meu pai, que não é o maior fã de animais, está rendido ao charme da Mia.
Para mim, confesso que é um pouco difícil conviver com um novo bichano porque faz-me lembrar do Romeu (o nosso último gato que faleceu) e todos nós éramos muito apegados a ele.. por isso ando um pouco sentimental entre a bichana nova e o quanto eu tenho saudades do que partiu.
E como estou numa onda sentimental mesmo, quem não se lembra do filme "Os Aristogatos"? Um dos meus filmes preferidos da minha infância, e sim, ainda sei de cor as falas e as canções! É para verem quão boa a minha memória é! Por isso deixo-vos com uma das canções do filme mas numa versão mais moderna feita pelos Electric Swing Circus - Everybody Wants To Be A Cat. Está um máximo! Divirtam-se e até para a semana.

Since Mia's arrival, our house has a new energy and joy. This little cat is so overactive that infects her energy with everybody; even my father, who is not the biggest fan of animals, is surrendered to Mia's charm.
For me, I confess it's a little bit hard because it makes me remind of Romeu (our previously cat that died) and we were all very attached to him, so I'm a little bit sentimental between the new one and how I miss the last one.
And as I'm in a sentimental mood, who doesn't remember "The Aristocrats" movie? One of my fave movies of my childhood, and yes I still know the lines and the songs! That's how good my memorie is! So I'll leave you guys with one of the songs of the movie but with a modern version from Electric Swing Circus - Everybody Wants To Be A Cat. It's very cool!
