This week I don't have much to share. I was still recovering and also trying to get back to normal life and work. So I guess it will be all about books.

I like to organize everything by colours... except my books. In books I prefer to organize them by genre/author or even theme. This photo was a challenge to create a rainbow with books. I don't have many books with colourful spines, so it was a little challenge. But fun anyway. From these 11 books I've only read 4, and I'm in the middle of 3 of them. I've read Seer of Sevenwater (5th book in the Sevenwater series), The Angels Game (this was my first English physical book, I bought it in Frankfurt airport when I was coming back from my Erasmus semester), The Book of Laughter and Forgetting by Milan Kundera and Coraline by Neil Gaiman. I've started (but not finished yet) The Brand Handbook, Dracula and The House of the Dead by Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Last week (before I got sick and barely leave the house) I got some acrylic paints.
These are really tiny ink containers (20g) - below you can see the colours that I fell in love with. I also choose colours that could work with the acrylics that I already own.
On next night I thought it was time to try them and that was what I came up with.

Conclusion - it's been awhile since I paint with acrylics and watercolours, it's easier to use them when you use them regularly. Practice makes you know the medium that your using. For sure it's something to keep using.

Muitas vezes planos não funcionam como estavam planeados. A minha semana passada foi assim.
Terça-feira comecei a ficar doente (entre nariz entupido e dores de garganta, ouvidos a zunir... yikes) e fui ficando pior e pior durante o resto da semana. Não conseguia fazer nada de nada (lia quando o sono teimava a não vir, ou não conseguia dormir mesmo devido à tosse que me provocava a posição de dormir). 
Finalmente hoje já me sinto humana outra vez e já consigo estar ao computador a trabalhar. Lentamente (que ainda estou a recuperar) vou voltar às encomendas e a trabalhar nas novidades que os próximos meses avizinham!

Tenho usado aguarelas no meu diário gráfico e estou a gostar do resultado. Aliás muitas ideias estão a surgir do desafio de desenho que estive (e estou) a fazer no mês de Janeiro. Podem ver os resultados aqui 
Ainda estou de volta de várias agendas, e por isso mais uma vez não dediquei tempo a criar coisas para o dia dos namorados. Mas estou a pensar noutros dias (dia da mãe, dia do pai...) - que outras datas importantes gostavam de ver ilustradas ou em produtos Nuts for Paper?

Sometimes plans don't work has they we're planned. That was how my last week went.
It started on Tuesday with a clogged nose, pain in my throat and buzzing ears... yikes! and it all went south from that. I couldn't do anything work related (I read when I couldn't sleep, or when the coughing wouldn't allow me to rest.)
But today I'm feeling human again, and I'm able to be on the computer and work a bit. Slowly I will be back to orders and working on the new things I'm programming to launch in the next months!

I've been using watercolours in my sketchbook and I'm liking it. I've been doing a drawing challenge during the months of January, and many ideas are coming from that. (If you're curious you can see some of the results here)
I'm still working on planners and that's why I didn't dedicated myself to create things for valentines day. But I'm starting to think about other days (mothers day, fathers day...) - what other important dates you would like me to illustrate or have something related in Nuts for Paper products?
