Desta vez desisti de começar por gravar a parte do desenho. À noite tenho relaxado um pouco a ouvir um livro e a desenhar várias coisas. Mas a essa hora da noite não tenho condições de gravar. Além disso a parte do desenho é parte mais longa do processo e (talvez) a mais aborrecida? Digam, preferem ver o processo todo, ou só o pintar do desenho?
Durante Outubro vou participar num desafio diário de desenho (o INKtober) e por isso quero começar a fazer estudos e a treinar o desenho.

This time I gave up to record the drawing part. At night I have been relaxing a little while listening a book and drawing a little. But at the time of the day I don't have enough light to record. Besides the drawing part is always the longest part of the process and maybe the more boring part to watch? Let me know, if you like to see it, or prefer just to see the painting part.
During October I will do the daily inking challenge - INKtober and I'm warming up to that.






Podem estar a perguntar-se - mas qual é a diferença entre este desenho e uma ilustração tua?
As diferenças são poucas, mas importantes. Talvez a mais importante seja o papel. Apesar de gostar do papel do meu diário gráfico, não é o mais indicado para usar os marcadores Copic.
Para lápis e tinta? perfeito, mas os marcadores dão-se melhor noutros papeis.
Outra diferença é que nas ilustrações tento ter mais cuidado na escolha das cores. Este desenho ia tendo o problema das botas serem quase da mesma cor que a erva/relva. Se tivesse feito alguns estudos de cor antes de começar a pintar, poderia até ter escolhido outro esquema de cores completamente diferente.

You might ask yourself - what's the difference between one of your drawings and one of your illustrations?
Well not much, but the little ones are quite important. Maybe the most important one is paper. Although I like the paper of this sketchbook, probably it's not the best for Copic markers.
For pencil and ink? It's perfect, but markers are best for other papers.
Other difference is that inf final illustrations I'm more careful in choosing colour palette. In this drawing I almost had problem of having the boots in the same colour that the grass. If I had made some colour studies this might not had happen.


Queria também experimentar se conseguia gravar outros ângulos e a aproveitar o máximo de luz natural.
Quis também experimentar outro método de pintar. Normalmente começo para linha a preto e só depois é que pinto o desenho. Neste desenho fiz o contrário. Comecei por pintar e só adicionar a linha a preto no final.
Com este método, sou capaz de experimentar com linhas de outras cores.

I also wanted to try and record from different angles and take advantage of natural light. I also tried a new painting method. Usually I draw the line art and after I colour. In this drawing I did the opposite. First painting and then inked.
Maybe with this method I can try and make the line art in other colours.
